We offer the Proxxon TG 125/E disc sander in an all-in-one package specifically suited for glass and stone workers. Some knife makers and exotic metal workers will find the liquid cooling featured of this machine very useful. When not using liquid coolant on your special materials, it is still a precision device for fine sanding work, shaping, and small to moderate material correction. This is another tool that is right at home in a miniature machine shop. Use this machine for sanding, polishing, deburring, beveling of hard and soft wood, non-ferrous metal, steel, plastic, plexiglass, fiberglass reinforced plastics, cork and rubber. Sands long edges, end sections, radius, miters and by turning work piece over, accurate flat surfaces at right angles. The electronic speed control ensures optimal results on multiple types of material. Main body constructed of ribbed die cast aluminum with machned aluminum die cast work table. The table tilts 15° inwards and 45° outwards with a scale for accurate adjustment. Has a machined slot for the adjustable miter gauge. Its benchtop size makes the saw ideal for miniature machinists, model builders, toy makers, architects, and scale cabinet makers.
The machined sanding disc plate has a diameter of 9-27/32" (uses 10" discs) and is driven by a twin ball bearing spindle. The adhesive sanding discs fix firmly and can be replaced quickly. Comes with chart indicating recommended speeds for different materials.
This quality machine tool has a suction channel with union for connecting dust extraction device for dust-free working, use only when liquid coolant is not being used, unless the vacuum system is a wet-style machine such as most shop-vacs.
Supplied with 2 of each sanding discs of 100 grit, 240 grit.
We also offer this machine without the liquid cooling system, as this system shown is more suited for glass work, ceramics, lapidary work, knife makers, etc.
